We are a friendly Berkshire club who have five teams entered in the Reading Badminton League. Three mixed, divisions 1A, 1B and 3B, a men's and a ladies both currently playing in division 2 - with your help we may be able to push for the top divisions next season... We play at Theale Green School Recreation Centre and our club nights are on a Wednesday throughout the year between 8 & 10pm. Our home matches are played at the same venue on Friday evenings - check the match schedule for a complete list of coming matches... We take the social side of our club very seriously and enjoy a number of social events throughout the year. Our faces are well known at the local pub as we often frequent there after club for a well deserved pint. Ufton's attendance's at the Annual Reading Presentation Night usually leave their mark as the club makes an effort to adopt a dressed theme each year.
We are open to new members of a reasonable standard so come along and visit us on a Wednesday night, your first visit is free and you'll be made to feel more than welcome. At the end of the evening we'll make sure we make the time to have a quick chat with you so that we can jointly decide whether Ufton is the club for you or not. If it is felt that you would get more enjoyment and better opportunity to improve your skills by playing at another club we promise to help you by making some recommendations to point you in the right direction. While the teams have been selected for the 2008/09 season you'll still get plenty of opportunity for match play if that's what you're after - substitutes are often needed. If you would like more information then please feel free to get in touch and we'll make every effort to get back to you - assuming you provide your contact details of course!
